linglo

Translate an Excel file into Arabic — text translated, formulas intact.

linglo translates the text in your spreadsheet into fluent Arabic and hands back the same .xlsx — cells, comments and chart titles included. Your formulas, numbers and formatting come through untouched, because linglo never edits them in the first place.

How it works

  1. Drop your .xlsxOne workbook, any number of sheets.
  2. Pick your ArabicStandard, or the register used in Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, the Levant or the Gulf — plus your own glossary.
  3. Download the same .xlsxCells, comments and chart titles in Arabic. Everything else exactly where you left it.

Why linglo

What linglo translates, and what it leaves alone

Worth being precise, because “translate my spreadsheet” means different things to different tools.

Translated: the text in your cells — however your exporter chose to write it — plus cell comments, and the titles and axis labels on your charts.

Left alone, deliberately: formulas, cell references, number formats, chart geometry, and the cached values Excel recalculates for itself. Touching any of those is how a workbook gets broken. Comment authors keep their names.

Not translated: sheet tab names. Renaming a tab means rewriting every formula that points at it, and getting that wrong corrupts the file — so linglo leaves them alone. Rename them yourself if you need them in Arabic.

Questions, answered

Do I get an .xlsx back?

Yes — the same .xlsx, with your cell text, comments and chart titles translated into Arabic. Sheet tab names stay as they were.

Will it break my formulas?

No, and that’s deliberate. linglo rewrites text, never logic — formulas, cell references and number formats are never touched, and neither is the chart data Excel recalculates for itself.

Does an Excel file use my PDF pages?

No. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and text all meter as words. PDF pages are only for PDFs.

Is my spreadsheet private?

Your .xlsx is rebuilt in your browser — the file itself is never uploaded. We don’t train on your content, and anything we do store auto-deletes within 24 hours.
