Effective 6 July 2026
linglo ("we", "us") is a translation and localization service at linglo.io. This policy explains what we collect, how we handle your documents, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
When you translate text or a document, we process it to deliver the translation and nothing else:
Where processing happens. To translate your content, we and Google run it on cloud infrastructure that may sit in different countries. Wherever it runs, the rule is the same: it's used only to produce your translation, never to train models, and it's deleted on the schedule below.
Uploaded documents and their translations are deleted within 24 hours. Your account data (email, username, plan, usage) is kept while your account is active; delete your account or email us and we will remove it. Your translation history is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, and clears when you clear it.
On the Lifetime plan you can supply your own Google API key. On that path, your text is sent from your browser directly to Google using your key; we do not receive or process that content on our servers. Your key is stored only in your own browser.
We lean on a few trusted providers — chiefly Google, which performs the translation, and Dodo Payments, which handles payments as our Merchant of Record. A couple of others host the app and send your sign-in emails. None of them may use your content for anything but delivering linglo to you.
We use the minimum needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (theme, language), stored in your browser. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics that follow you around the web.
Your connection to linglo is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to your account requires a sign-in link or Google sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep our attack surface small and only collect what we need.
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from your account or by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU/EEA under the GDPR), you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
linglo is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we make a material change to this policy we will update this page and its effective date, and where appropriate notify you by email.
