linglo

Everything linglo can translate.

Most tools support Arabic the way a hotel supports a wheelchair — technically. linglo was built for it first, and then taught 44 other languages. Here is the whole surface, with the real limits, in one place.

Documents

PDFThe layout survives — covers, tables, figures and footnotes stay where they belong, and the Arabic comes back as real selectable right-to-left text, not a picture. PDF to Arabic →
Word (.docx)Headings, tables, footnotes, endnotes, headers and footers — the parts most tools quietly skip. Word to Arabic →
PowerPoint (.pptx)Slides come back with their layout mirrored for right-to-left reading. PowerPoint to Arabic →
Excel (.xlsx)The text in your cells is translated. Formulas, number formats and charts are never touched. Excel to Arabic →
Text & MarkdownPlain .txt and .md, structure intact.

Strings, apps and subtitles

App & game stringsJSON, XLIFF (.xliff/.xlf), Apple .strings, Android XML, Flutter .arb, PO, YAML, CSV.
SubtitlesSRT and VTT — timings preserved.

The Arabic you get

linglo writes Modern Standard Arabic, in the register you choose. This is not a dialect setting — it changes the vocabulary, formulations and month names to the ones used in official documents in that region, while the Arabic itself stays Fusha.

RegistersStandard, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Levant, Gulf.
Your termsA brand glossary, plus do-not-translate and avoid lists, so product names and tone stay consistent across every file.
NumeralsWestern digits (0-9) throughout, which is what official Arabic documents actually use.
44 more languagesFrom French and Spanish to Japanese, Hindi and Hebrew — each in its own script.

The limits, honestly

File size50 MB per file.
PDF length500 pages per PDF. Longer than that, split it.
At once3 jobs running at the same time.
MeteringWord, PowerPoint, Excel, strings and text all meter as words. Only PDFs spend pages. See the plans →

Questions, answered

Do I get the same file type back?

Yes. A .docx comes back as a .docx, an .srt as an .srt. You should be able to send it without rebuilding it.

Does my Word or Excel file get uploaded?

No. Word, PowerPoint and Excel files are unzipped, translated and rebuilt in your browser — the file itself never reaches us. The text inside passes through our translation proxy on its way to the model; we don’t store it. PDFs are the exception: they are rendered on our server, and auto-delete within 24 hours.

Which Arabic does linglo write?

Modern Standard Arabic, in the regional register you pick. See above.
