Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and linglo ("we", "us") governing your use of linglo.io and its translation service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use linglo.

The short version

Machine translation is powerful but not perfect — review anything important before you rely on it.
Your content stays yours; we only process it to deliver your translation.
Paid plans renew until you cancel. Cancel anytime — but all sales are final, no refunds.
Lifetime is a one-time, bring-your-own-key purchase.
Use linglo fairly: don’t abuse it, resell it, or work around the limits.

1. The Service

linglo translates text and documents between languages, with particular care for Arabic. Machine translation is powerful but imperfect: we do not guarantee that any translation is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose, and you are responsible for reviewing output before you rely on it for anything important (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).

2. Your account

You need an account to use paid features. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

upload content you don't have the right to translate, or that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious;
attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or bypass the Service's limits, metering, or security;
resell or redistribute the Service except as expressly allowed by your plan;
use the Service to build a competing translation product.

4. Your content

You own your content. You keep all rights to the text and documents you submit and the translations you receive. You grant us only the limited licence needed to process your content to provide the Service (for example, to store it briefly and send it to our translation provider). We do not use your content to train models or for any purpose other than delivering the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Plans, billing & payments

Paid plans are sold and processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. Dodo Payments handles payment, invoicing, and applicable taxes, and your purchase is also subject to their terms.

Subscriptions (Pro, Studio) renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account: cancelling stops all future charges, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the current or past periods.
Lifetime is a one-time purchase for early supporters (first 100), with no recurring charge. It uses bring-your-own-key: you supply your own translation-model API key.
Usage limits reset each billing cycle. Words are spent by text translations and by every document format except PDF (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, text, subtitle and localization files). Pages are spent only by PDF translations. Word usage is measured by the volume of text processed, and each separate translation carries a small minimum charge. If you reach a limit, the Service pauses that action until your next cycle or an upgrade.
We may change prices, but never for a period you have already paid for; changes apply to future renewals.

All sales are final. Because linglo has a free plan so you can try it on a real document before you buy, we do not offer refunds, except where required by applicable law.

6. Availability

We work to keep linglo available and fast, but we provide the Service "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Planned pricing tiers and limits are described on our pricing page and may evolve.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, linglo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a translation. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You can stop using linglo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the Service or other users at risk.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you where appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

10. Your rights

Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law where you live.
